Dr. Yvonne Sophie Thöne, 44, aus Kassel ist als Fotografin national und international tätig. Mit 16 fand sie die alte Pentax-Spiegelreflexkamera ihrer Mutter im Keller, kaufte einen Schwarzweißfilm und fotografierte drauf los. Von Anfang an war es die ästhetische Inszenierung von Menschen, die sie begeistert hat. Nach ihrem Lehramtsstudium und 10 Jahren in theologischer Lehre und Forschung an der Universität Kassel hat die promovierte Alttestamentlerin schließich in 2018 ihre Leidenschaft zum Beruf gemacht und ist nun spezialisiert in Modefotografie, Portrait- und Boudoir-Fotografie.

Während Yvonne zu Beginn noch ihre Models über Facebook und Instagram suchte, arbeitet sie mittlerweile mit etablierten Agenturmodels zusammen, fotografiert prominente Gesichter (wie Motsi Mabuse, Angelina Kirsch und Robert Habeck) und Privatkundinnen aus ganz Deutschland, Österreich, der Schweiz, den Niederlanden und sogar den USA besuchen sie in ihrem Studio bei Kassel. Die Fotografin liebt nicht nur den Vintage-Look und stimmungsvolle Locations mit nostalgischem Flair, sondern sie setzt sich auch für Körpervielfalt ein. Ihr ist es wichtig, mit ihrer Arbeit zu vermitteln, dass es eine Vielfalt von Körperformen gibt und dass diese alle wunderbar sind. Daher arbeitet Yvonne Sophie auch häufig mit Curvy Models zusammen, was dann wiederum Kundinnen mit mehr Rundungen ermutigt, sich vor ihre Kamera zu stellen bzw. zu legen.

Dabei sind ihre Arbeiten sinnlich, sexy und stets stilvoll.

Im kreativen Prozess nimmt die Konzeption des Shootings einen breiten Raum ein - viel Liebe verwendet die 44-Jährige auf die Farbkonzeption und den Setaufbau - mit nostalgisch anmutenden Möbeln, ausgesuchten Requisiten und auch mal Obst und Gemüse.

Yvonne Sophie fotografiert für verschiedene Brands (z.B. die Unterwäschemarke "Sugar Shape") und Magazine wie Harper's Bazaar, The Curvy Magazine, Für Sie, Séparée usw.

Als studierte Lehrerin gehört ebenfalls das Unterrichten zu ihren Leidenschaften - Yvonne Sophie erteilt Workshops und hat einen Lehrauftrag an der Hochschule Landshut für Fotografie & Bodypositivity inne.

Dr. Yvonne Sophie Thöne, 44, from Kassel, works as a photographer both nationally and internationally. When she was 16, she found her mother's old Pentax SLR camera in the basement, bought some black and white film and started taking pictures. From the very beginning, she was inspired by the aesthetic staging of people. After studying to be a teacher and spending 10 years in theological teaching and research at the University of Kassel, the Old Testament scholar finally turned her passion into a career in 2018 and now specializes in fashion, portrait and boudoir photography.

While Yvonne initially searched for her models on Facebook and Instagram, she now works with established agency models, photographs prominent faces (such as Motsi Mabuse, Angelina Kirsch and Robert Habeck) and private clients from all over Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands and even the USA visit her in her studio near Kassel. The photographer not only loves the vintage look and atmospheric locations with nostalgic flair, but she also advocates for body diversity. It is important to her to convey with her work that there is a variety of body shapes and that they are all wonderful. That's why Yvonne Sophie also often works with curvy models, which in turn encourages customers with more curves to stand or lie in front of her camera.

Her work is sensual, sexy and always stylish.

In the creative process, the conception of the shoot takes up a lot of space - the 44-year-old puts a lot of love into the color concept and the set design - with nostalgic-looking furniture, selected props and sometimes fruit and vegetables.

Yvonne Sophie takes photos for various brands (e.g. the lingerie brand “Sugar Shape”) and magazines such as Harper's Bazaar, The Curvy Magazine, Für Sie, Séparée, etc.

As a trained teacher, teaching is also one of her passions – Yvonne Sophie holds workshops and has a teaching position at the University of Applied Sciences in Landshut for Photography & Body Positivity.
